Frequently Asked Questions
We want to thank everyone who has taken the time to ask questions and provide feedback to help make SeatData better. This FAQ is a list of the questions we receive most often.
Pricing Plans
Q: Is there a free trial?
Yes, Basic and Pro both come with a free trial.
Q: What if I decide I want to upgrade my plan from Basic to Pro?
Simply click "Manage Billing" in the sidebar and cancel your Basic plan. Return to the pricing page and checkout using the Professional plan.
Q: Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you may cancel at any time. Cancellations during a normal billing period will be effective at the end of the period. If you cancel during a free trial, you will not incur any charges.
Q: Why was I charged after cancelling my SeatData Basic subscription?
SeatData Basic bills at the end of each billing period for the month of service you've already used. If you see a charge after cancelling, this is the final charge to close out your last month of service that you've already consumed. No future charges will occur after this final billing.
For example, if you cancel on March 15th, you'll still have access until your billing period ends, and you'll receive one final charge for the March service period. This is not a new subscription charge.
Q: Under the Basic Plan, what is a sales data pull?
A sales data pull is a request for event sales data, where you actually click on an event after searching, where 1 or more sales are returned. Further requests for the same event, within 10 minutes of a sales data pull, will not be counted against your total.
Under the basic plan, you can still search as much as you'd like without incurring additional cost.
Q: Under the Basic Plan, will I be able to view my usage?
Yes. A live usage summary is viewable in the left sidebar.
Q: Under the Basic Plan, do unused pulls roll over to the next month?
No, to receive the full benefit of the Basic Plan, you must use the 150 sales data pulls within your billing period.
Q: Does SeatData offer API access?
Yes! SeatData provides comprehensive API access for programmatic data retrieval. Visit our API Documentation to get started, or check out our Python SDK for easy integration. For API-related questions, contact us at support@seatdata.io.
Operations
Q: Do the prices shown include fees?
No, all prices displayed in SeatData are before fees. These are the base ticket prices without any marketplace fees, service charges, or delivery fees that may be added during checkout.
Q: Why do some sales show a quantity of 0?
A quantity of 0 indicates our system was unable to verify the exact quantity for that transaction. The sale itself is still valid and verified.
For more information about our data collection methods, see our Sales Data Collection Methodology page.
Q: How is the data obtained?
For a detailed explanation of our data collection methods and coverage, please see our Sales Data Collection Methodology page.
Q: How are the Recent Activity Levels determined?
Recent Activity Levels are calculated as follows:
Activity Level | Criteria |
---|---|
Low | 2 sales or less in the last 3 days |
Medium | 3-8 sales in the last 3 days |
High | 9+ sales or more in the last 3 days |
These metrics are updated once per hour.
Q: How fast are sales added to SeatData after they occur?
SeatData is actively monitoring over 50,000 events and the speed that we are able to log sales transactions depends on how active the markets are.
The most active events are reviewed every 10 minutes while the least active may be reviewed once ever 4 hours.
Q: How often are events added?
New events are added throughout the day.
